The Different Types of Accessories Available in Youth Bows
There are a variety of different youth bows available in the market these days. However, these come with their own sets of accessories and products to make the archery more interesting. Here is a rundown of the essential accessories you need.
Youth bows cases
These special cases for youth bows are designed with a short length in order to accommodate these bows easily. The thick canvas cloth covering helps to protect the bows easily. The canvas materials are usually thick amounting to 7.5 ounces or so in weight. The presence of a sleek zipper, web handles with a full wrap feature, foam padding, pocket on the side and other useful features help make these youth bows cases functional and yet attractive in their design.
The bows
This is probably one of the most important accessories of the youth bows kits. The bows of these days have innovative cams, which can accommodate different draw lengths anywhere between 15 to even 30 inches. The special design prevents any kind of let off in the process. These youth bows are made versatile to accommodate young children as well as teenagers and even adults who like archery. The minimization of let off enables the youth bows to function just like any recurve of 35 pounds. The riser is made of machined aluminum and helps provide a nice lightweight performance. The aluminum idler facilitates easy tuning functionality. The cable guard is made of stainless steel and the modern youth bows also have composite limbs with a molded grip design.
Some youth bows have a specific draw length capacity. So, if you are opting for these then make sure to measure what your child’s draw length and strength is. Depending on these two factors you will need to buy the youth bows accordingly.
Tube quivers
These quivers also come with the kits along with youth bows. These have attachments of a single belt and can be perfect for taking along to youth programs and school hunting sessions. Compared to these conventional quivers of youth bows there are also more modern versions. These are smaller in size and can be slung on the shoulder as well. The special broadhead base and plastic hood helps protect arrows better. You can also use these youth bows quivers to adjust them to your arrow lengths. You do not have need to use clips to adjust them which makes these youth bows quivers less of a hassle.
Shooting gloves
These are perfect if you want to protect your child’s little hands while he or she is using the youth bows. These are usually made of soft leather and thus are very comfortable to wear.
Arm guards
These help protect the child’s shoulders and arms while using the youth bows. The thick protective mechanism helps to absorb any shocks and high impact shots thereby protecting the delicate arms of your child.
Releases
The presence of jaws with no gaps, wide and strong releases in youth bows make for easy loading functionality. Plus, these releases also come with a trigger that can be easily adjusted. The smaller releases are designed to accommodate the small fingers of a child.
